Welcome!

Welcome!
Welcome to my mind. It is a confusing place in here. You will probably find love, happiness, anger, frustration, confusion, and most assuredly, incoherent thoughts. Don't expect a new post every day. I am not a "super blogger". I have things to do, not that there is a list or a plan for those things to get done! Mainly I just "fly by the seat of my pants".

Please refrain from hateful comments. If you don't like or agree with what I say, get your own blog. I have enough negative, hateful people in my life. If you enjoy it, read it. If you don't, go away.

I have many roles in life, like everyone else. I'm a wife, mom, homeschool teacher, cook, maid, meal planner, pet owner, "taxi" driver, and etc, etc, etc.

Welcome! I hope you have a good read!

I Ate Dinner In Public In My Underwear

Yesterday was a beautiful, warm , sunny day. My husband decided at 2:30 in the afternoon that we should head to the beach. We all threw on our swimsuits and a t-shirt, grabbed some towels, some suncreen, and off we went.

I was sitting on the beach watching my husband and son play in the waves, when I began thinking how comfortable and free they looked. Of course they were! Their swimsuits weren't crawling and creeping in and out of places like mine was! We decided to eat dinner there and I was painfully aware that their swinsuits doubled as shorts, while mine could only double as underwear. So, there I was eating dinner at a restaurant in my underwear.

Why is it that our choices of swimsuits must detail every curve, lump, crack and crevice on our bodies while men simply get a pair of comfy, loose fitting shorts to wear? It isn't fair! It is just another way women are objectified. Don't get me wrong. I certainly don't want to see men in speedos! I just think that women should not have to be practically naked! We have the right not to be in (almost) full exposure. We have the right to be comfortable! We have the right to be dressed in more than underwear in public!

Same reason female cheerleaders wear micro mini's, and male cheerleaders wear normal tops and long pants; and why men's jeans aren't designed to dip halfway down their ass crack or show their underwear; and a multitude of other ridiculous double standards. And while we're on the subject, why are the "boy shorts" style of swimsuit bottom absolutely NOTHING like what boys wear to the beach?

Because "boy shorts" is another style of women's underwear! *sigh*
